The Montreal-based fashion designer Emeric Tchatchoua is the creative director of critically acclaimed brand 3.PARADIS. What started nearly by accident in 2013 as a single sweater posted to his social media has blossomed into an LVMH-prize nominated fashion house that pumps out distinctly wearable banker-meets-streetwear inspired collections. When he’s not directing his own brand, you’ll find the Parisian native designing for UK brand Ejder and travelling to either London, Paris, Montreal or Hong Kong to work on potential collabs.

Emeric doesn’t believe in design without meaning. Behind everyone one of his collections you’ll find an intricate story, feeling, or idea. In his FW19 collection titled Calaviñas, Emeric focuses on the feeling of time passing and uses bank notes he collected on his travels on the pieces. You shouldn’t be surprised if you find a Franc stitched to your intricately tailored blazer or Euro on your trousers.
