Piece from Someniggasliketohike_001
21 days of painting on life-size wood panels, named LAUNDRY_001-2018. Looking to interpret the human relationship to garments and identity.
Basically every piece of Moya’s work is amazing, but especially his OOJII series. Moya creates a human-like character that does regular stuff. I know, INSANE. But OOJII’s doing it with endless personality and wearing crazy fits. He’s getting a puppy, eating some kind of rice bowl, having a bath, and smoking a backwoods. OOJII is a perfect representation of Moya’s style. Insanely cool, optimistic and familiar.
Moya’s style is unparalleled. Covering a range of subjects, his loose, airy brush work is instantly recognizable in all of his pieces. It’s this effortless airiness that draws you in and leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy.
